Water & Wastewater Tap Plans
What is a Tap Plan?
In the City of Austin, tap plans are required when you’re connecting a new building or property to the city’s water or wastewater system. These plans show how and where your service lines will connect to the public mains.
At Servant Engineering, we design tap plans that meet all City of Austin requirements — helping our clients avoid delays, confusion, or rejections from the utility review process.

What We Need to Start Your Tap Plan
Before we begin the tap plan design, we’ll need a few things from you to meet City of Austin requirements. These help us submit a complete and accurate plan:
- Original survey in CAD format (.dwg)
- Proposed site layout in CAD format (.dwg)
- Approved Water & Wastewater Service Plan Verification (WWWSPV) form
- Owner’s name, address, and phone number
- Floor plans with building height and square footage
If you’re still gathering any of these items, we can help point you in the right direction.
