Drainage / Erosion Control
Managing Drainage & Erosion Control
Stormwater management is a key part of most development projects. The City of Austin requires drainage and erosion control plans to ensure that runoff is handled properly and doesn’t negatively impact neighboring properties or nearby waterways.
At Servant Engineering, we design drainage plans that show how stormwater will move through your site using grading, inlets, pipes, and other infrastructure. We also provide erosion control plans to protect your site during construction and prevent sediment from washing into the streets, adjacent properties, or storm drains.
Our goal is to create designs that are both effective and compliant with city standards, while keeping the process simple for you.

What We Typically Include
Each drainage and erosion control plan is tailored to the site, but most include key design elements like:
- Stormwater flow and drainage
- Grading and spot elevation design
- Erosion and sediment control measures (silt fence, inlet protection, etc.)
- Compliance with City of Austin Environmental Criteria Manual (ECM)
- Coordination with architects and other consultants as needed
If you're unsure whether your project needs drainage or erosion control design, we’re happy to take a look and help you figure it out.
